Technology has always played a big role in my life. I fell in love with computers very early on in life, and was fortunate to have early access to PC’s through my father’s work.
Technology, for me, is closely related to science, and with that, figuring out how stuff works. PC’s can automate certain tasks, and if you just look at the inputs and the outputs, the technology behind the automation is something that can be investigated.
As I loved helping people make sense of their computer my dream job as a kid was computer salesman. I remember fondly the store in our local village where we could get floppy disks and cdroms, and will never forget the trips with my dad to the “pcdumpdag” fair where we bought parts and hardware to build our own computers.
