Super lucky’s tale was very reminiscent of old time collect-a-thon games I used to love such as banjo kazooie and mario 64. I played this game as one of the most friendly xbox game pass games that are suitable for younger kids. The original super lucky’s tale is quite rough round the edges development wise, it doesn’t feel particularly polished. The game was later re-released as New Super Lucky’s tale, which feels like the version that should have been shipped initially.
Still, we played through the whole game together and enjoyed the exploration of worlds. The puzzles felt a little out of place and quite hard in comparison to the rest of the games, but also presented a welcome change of pace after the the continuous flow of platforming.
