Interesting read on the early days of Cyber Security. It feels a bit like the origins of Blue Teaming efforts, monitoring network connections and tracking hacker movements to increase find attack targets and alarm administrators of weakly secured machines.

Hard to imagine this story takes place in 1986, but still feels so relevant today. Passwordmanagement is definitely better these days but is still one of the human weak spots in cyber security.

Story was entertainingly written, maybe a little too revealing in some places with regards to the authors private life. It does adds some color to the story. I was also positively acknowledged with my excessive note taking and Personal Knowledge Management systems, as the author made extensive notes on all events that eventually lead to it being one of the first big hacking court cases.

Have to make a small remark about the last epilogue chapter, it felt a bit weird to have a full new short story about a computer worm added on the back of the book. Might have been better to completely separate that into another publication / short story.
