Pebble Index 01 is a Bluetooth button on a ring with a microphone that records and transcribes messages when you hold the button. It ties into my Personal Knowledge Management setup very smoothly, immediately capturing fleeting thoughts as notes in my vault, to be processed later.
thoughts on using index 01
- I think it’s a very nice touch that they use the LLM to generate some labels in the apps such as the motivational words for your sleep and exercise. That’s a very nice touch, and keeps surprising me as it is very different from being served the typical 3 text labels over and over again
- There’s a small hurdle you need to take before you get comfortable talking to yourself like a crazy person. But you do get used to this feeling, and the world is getting more adjusted to this because of the increasing use of voice messages.
- One of the minor gripes is that when you’re holding something in your hand thats touching your index finger. it is kind of annoying to have a ring there, sometimes I just take it off completely if I have to hold scissors for instance.
