I’ve had a particular relationship with alcohol in the course of my life. The first 25 years of my life I didn’t drink a drop of alcohol.
After I felt I was mature enough to drink while staying in control, and resist to drink more than I would want, I ended that chapter and started exploring the different tastes that alcoholic beverages offer with moderation.
Ever since I started taking physical exercise more seriously, I encountered the effects of alcohol visibly in data. After drinking just one glass I could already see my performance in the next day of CrossFit training decreasing, both in strength and stamina.
When working out 3 times a week there is then just one opportunity left to drink something without suffering these immediate consequences, which greatly reduces my urge to consume.
