1. a state in which one is not observed or disturbed by other people.
  2. the state of being free from public attention. — wikipedia

I’ve got a very double relationship with privacy. On one end, I am an extrovert, I like to share, I like to publish, I like to form my thoughts in such a way that people can understand me. I’ve used about every social media platform extensively and probably shared more than most people would feel comfortable with.

On the other side, I also care deeply about privacy and especially ownership of your own data. For instance, I go to great lengths of trouble to avoid leaking my private notes to the cloud by creating a private continuous integration environment to publish my own notes system.

I also love the advancements in AI technology, especially around indexing and extracting new insights from personal knowledge management systems with LLMs , but I’ve been very careful not sharing my personal notes with cloud services such as openAI, and am looking into running Open Source AI models on AI hardware in my own homelab
