After the smart meter was installed in our home and the subsidised salderingsregeling was about to end, we opted to purchase a home battery Anker Solix Max AC, 7kwh.
The device has a fast response with its own p1 port meter, reacting immediately if the solar panels cause our home to push power back to the grid. It then starts charging the battery with up to 3500W, which is enough to intake the surplus from our panels.
The unit was very easy to set up, and integrated very nicely to our home assistant automation setup. We still use the anker system to follow the grid output as natively as possible, but we can now extend on the functionality, for instance turning on devices when the battery is full and there still is a surplus of solar power.
